Reflection for the Third Quarter

Among the things in the existence of a student, this quarter has taught me so much and challenged me well along with providing opportunities for growth. Among the different learnings gained in this quarter are deeper knowledge into the subjects especially in math, science, and looser forms of research. I understand precalculus and chemistry quite convincingly, and I get coding as an area where one would feel pretty excited to delve deeper because these concepts are easy to grasp. Such realizations encouraged me to know better about programming and analytical problem-solving. These are very valuable competencies in my future career.

The pathway was not without hurdles. The most taxing obstacle was managing more than one subject at a time. While I excel in math and science, other subjects like ESP and Filipino needed much time and effort to earn high marks. While it was a huge problem, there were so many things to do: assignments and quizzes along with research projects. In addition to this, community-based research projects posed hurdles into the problem, particularly coordinating with my groupmates which was quite difficult at times. The conflicts in schedules and ideas at times hindered effective working. However, we learned to compromise and communicate effectively.

I started working on challenges through developing a good study habit, mostly for those subjects I did not do well in. I practiced more, had regular review sessions, and asked for help when needed. Time management became another focus, working hard to organize everything in better ways, allowing me to make the best of each deadline without going overboard. In our research project, I also learned to collaborate more with my groupmates through open communication with them, but especially involving them in discussion. Those strategies were in themselves enough to make my quarter more enjoyable and productive.

So here, moving forth, there will be enhancing skills with coding, mathematics, and scientific processes to prepare myself for upcoming academic and vocational opportunities. Besides that, I really want to put effort into studying and managing my time better to work on places I will struggle in. More important, I want to learn instead of just grades. With rigorous critical thinking development, I am hopeful for a better next quarter. During this quarter, with all these, I've been reminded about the fact that growing calls for challenges and crossing through them makes sense in terms of meaningful learning.
